Helping individuals transition to a new career through career counseling is Jane’s passion.  Jane obtained her Master’s in Counseling in 2010 from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.  Her passion to make a positive impact led her to be a career counselor and open up her company, Boulder Career Services. Jane and her family are located in Boulder, CO, where she is fulfilling her dream of living in the mountains and concentrating on what she loves best helping people identify their strengths, skills and values and to align these with their world of work.

Jane received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado in 1991.  She started her career in business.  Jane was an Event Manager in Vail, CO where she matched artists/entertainers to large events and managed the process.  In 1995, Jane moved east and was a Research Director and Moderator at RIVA (Research in Values and Attitudes) a qualitative market research firm in Bethesda, MD.  Today, Jane has combined her two strengths, business skills and counseling skills, to help people navigate the world of work.  Jane believes that with the appropriate support people who truly know themselves can find career satisfaction and career growth throughout their lifetime.

A highly credentialed professional, Jane holds a Masters of Arts in Counseling with honors from Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a Certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Certified in Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator and is in the process of working towards her License as a Professional Counselor (LPC) from the State of Colorado with expected licensure in 2017.

Jane focuses on assessing her client’s needs first then collaborating with each individual on where to begin the process.  Her specialties include goal setting, assessments (MBTI, Strong and VIA), job search strategies, LinkedIn profile and resume consultation, interview coaching, and salary negotiation strategies. She presented on Salary Negotiation at the WILD (Women In Leadership Development) conference in Denver, April 2016.

In addition to her private practice she partners with BetterUp, a San Francisco coaching company, as a business career coach. She provides one-to-one coaching services via FaceTime to young professionals working at high pressure jobs including start-ups. This includes coaching on situational confidence, executive presence, mindfulness, leadership, and positive relationship building.

Jane leads with her empathetic spirit, and continues to earn the highest-degree of confidence amongst colleagues and clients due to her business acumen and counseling approach.
